The Chocolate Maker's Cottage
This little cottage was a prototype for a workshop I taught in Philadelphia. Based on the Cobbler's house, I had finally figured out the processes necessary to make all the parts so the students could reach a point in the four day workshop that they could finish the project at home. Originally I had painted the walls a light pink. Somewhere along the way I decided I'd rather have a deep raspberry color for the walls and went about painting them after the structure was finished, which required me to paint the interior of the window seat using a mirror and painting backwards. I love the color combination of the chocolate brown, ivory and deep raspberry.
