Thank you so much for stopping by!

I have added a few new features to the website! There is a search box just below. Under the Miniature Knotwork tab above I've added step-by-step Hemming Instructions for both straight and round designs, and there is also a new page of Helpful Hints under the same tab. I hope you find these useful!

Miniature Knotwork

An exquisite exercise in patience.

What is miniature knotwork?

If you are looking for a beautiful kind of needlework to try, that draws lots of  "oohs and ahhs," this is it! Miniature knotwork is an exquisite form of needlework that is, actually, quite simple to work and master. The tiny knots that cover the surface of the fabric, which when massed together make the most sublime texture, also happen to perfectly replicate a hooked rug in 1:12 scale.

Once you learn how to  form the knots that fill in the design, it is as simple as coloring in a coloring book. You don't need "laser-vision" to work it either. For people who like counted cross-stitch and other types of embroidery, these projects are a natural progression. They are also a good introduction to embroidery for a beginner.

Many people who love to embroider and cross stitch will tell me how much they despise making French knots. Usually this is because no one ever taught them the mechanics that make the process easy, and the results beautiful. Please visit the "How-to" page under the "Miniature Knotwork" tab to see the simple process of making French and Colonial knots and how you can create your own tiny masterpieces.

Our designs are small and sweet.

They bring that feel-good warmth to all who see them and bring a real sense of satisfaction to those who stitch them. These are the original miniature knotwork designs that have made so many people gasp and say, “Oh my gosh, that’s beautiful! How do you do that?” Amazingly the technique is very simple...

Simple and beautiful, is there a better combination?
